Harinie Jeevitha is a dedicated artiste who has been learning the art of Bharathanatyam from the age of six. With the able guidance and training from her Teacher, Dr. Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan, Harinie has come a long way in proving her artistry in this field with grace and vitality. Harinie is a recipient of the BALSHREE award (2009), constituted by the Govt. of India. She is also an ‘A’ grade artiste in Doordarshan. In recognition of her talent, the Sabhas in Chennai and other reputed organisations have presented her with titles and awards such as ‘Yuva Kala Bharati’, ‘Guru Sarasa Ammal Award’, ‘Natya Kala Ratna’ to name a few. Apart from presenting her art in many well-known Sabhas in Chennai, including The Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha etc, Harinie has performed all over India and countries abroad. A promising soloist, Harinie has also been emerging as a budding choreographer over the last few years, conceiving and creating works which have been acclaimed by artistes and art connoisseurs. Harinie Jeevitha is also a passionate poet who has published two anthologies of her poems-‘PERSPECTIVES: An Illustrated Anthology’, and ‘The Siblings of Kanchipuram’.

What will you learn: ‘LALITHĒ’ – A Madhurageetham of His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamigal, soaked in Bhakti for the Universal Mother, Goddess Lalithambika. This devotional composition is a prayer to the Goddess who resides in the Bindu of the Sri Chakra. She is the destroyer of Bhandasura and the protector of Her devotees. Worshipped by the Devas, She is the mother of Lord Ganesha, and the sister of Lord Krishna.
Choreographed by Harinie Jeevitha, this piece highlights the different aspects of Goddess Lalithambika in all Her glory.
